After Athapaththu, Samarawickrama is the next Sri Lankan woman to play in an international T20 group.
In the Women's Caribbean Premier League 2024 match between Sri Lankan flour Harshitha Samarawickrama and injured Meg Lanning, the wounded player will start.
Samarawickrama, a left-hand top-order flour, will add Shikha Pandey, Jemimah Rodrigues and Jess Jonassen as the other international athletes for Knight Riders. After Chamari Athapaththu, she is the next Sri Lankan woman to play in an international club.
Samarawickrama's choice comes at a time when her stock prices are rising. She was the Player of the Final with an unbroken 69 off 51 pellets in Sri Lanka's lady name win at Women's Asia Cup 2024. Lanning was in motion at the Hundred earlier this month, where her part, London Spirit, won the title. She herself had a slim work of results, though: 170 works in ten wickets at a strike price of 125.
