Afghanistan beat Bangladesh in the last match of the Super Eight level to push Australia out of the T20 World Cup
After a serious end to the Super Eight stage, with Afghanistan winning a thriller against Bangladesh in St Vincent to knock out Australia, the four semi- finalists of the T20 World Cup 2024 have been confirmed: Group 2 toppers South Africa may take on Afghanistan in the first semi- last, while Group 1 leaders India will face England in the next semi- last.
On Wednesday, June 26, at 8:30 p.m. local time, the primary semi-final between South Africa and Afghanistan will take place at Tarouba's Brian Lara Stadium. The following semi- last between India and England will be at 10.30am Thursday night, June 27 ( local time ) at Guyana's Providence Stadium.
Regardless of their Super Eight status, India was given the opportunity to advance to the next semi-final in Guyana well before the game even began. On June 27, that suit may begin at 8 p.m., time in India.
The using conditions for the two semi- playoffs, though, are unique. Due to a single hour's delay between that fit and the last, India and England will not have a reserve time.
But, a total of 250 hours of extra time is available for each semi- last. Beginning at 2 p.m. local time, the primary semi-final will have an additional 60 days at the end of the week play and 190 more at the end of the week reserve. The second semi- final will have the entire 250 minutes available on the scheduled day since it does n't have a reserve day.
Moreover, for a game to remain constituted as full in the semi- finals and last, both teams really bat a minimum of 10 overs per innings, as opposed to five overs per innings in the rest of the tournament. This could be important as rain has been forecast at both facilities, and the playing circumstances state that in case of a disaster, the team that finishes higher in their particular Super Eight parties ( India and South Africa, in this case ) will proceed. In case the final is abandoned because of poor weather, the two finalists will be declared joint winners.
