Shakib, the line ' captain, anticipates him to be completely professional throughout the series, whose political future is uncertain.
Bangladesh have just been through some political upheaval, which has saw their prime minister withdraw, and a caregiver state take charge of the country. The unrest has also put a question on them hosting the Women's T20 World Cup in October.
Bangladesh's regional area will be in action for the first time since those turmoil, as the people's team is on a journey of Pakistan, their primary device in two weeks. The two Tests form part of the World Test Championship, and captain Najmul Hossain Shanto could n't afford to dwell too much on the incidents back home, even as one of the consequences of the government getting toppled was his team-mate Shakib Al Hasan's stint as member of parliament coming to an end.
But Shakib has n't spoken publicly about it yet, instead focusing more on his cricket. Shanto, also, expects Shakib to be himself- when professional as possible.
" Shakib sir is in a great condition- in practice and preparation. He has the desire to perform well," Shanto said on the day of the first Check against Pakistan in Rawalpindi. " He has showed his determination in every training session. He is a professional bowler. We all treat him as a batsman. He [has ] played this game for so long that he knows his role; he knows how to make himself. His social career is not something I'm thinking on. In this set, I'm hoping he does do something unique. "
Given his all-round position, Shakib remains important for Bangladesh, although the guests also have with them Mehidy Hasan Miraz, who is a nice flour in the lower purchase. Mehidy's inclusion in Bangladesh's XI also probably prevents it from having a long tails. At No. Shakib and Mehidy could be the only players who Bangladesh could perform, including three strong batsmen and two spinner. Nahid Rana, known as Bangladesh's fastest bowling with speeds up to 150 kph, might be one of those batsmen, Shanto suggested.
" There's a possibility of him playing. He is in good shape," Shanto said. " We may have our standard mixture, it seems. We will consider this when deciding our XI because Patrons will have an additional advantage on this innings. [ Shadman Islam ] is batting very well. He is preparing also. He made goes [recently against Pakistan A] in Australia. "
Bangladesh desperately needs a new bat. They are encouraged by the knowledge that Rawalpindi could be a favorable pitch for bowlers. Shanto claimed that the team had done much preparation to improve, which included his own type, as both Shanto and Litton Das have been well-known after playing ill in the T20 World Cup a few months ago.
" We are not looking to do anything extra, but it is true that we have n't been batting well in the last few months," he said. " We did n't go well in our last Test series [against Sri Lanka, in March-April]. I believe that we have been well-equipped for this check line. The people have used the options to make properly. They think the wicket can be used more effectively.
I've always wanted to improve my battering abilities. Every exercise program aimed to make improvements in those places where I'm lacking. I am hopeful that it will assist me in the games [against Pakistan]. "
Shanto, however, remained good that Bangladesh have ample reason to be comfortable for the collection opener in Rawalpindi, especially with their fast-bowling device.
" Records may change. It wo n't be easy [for Pakistan]," he said. " We have a healthy area. This time, we think we can do something unique. Our first game will be here. We have developed a good pace-bowling system, we have four quality spinner, [and ] we covered all the bases that will help us make the team tomorrow. They are excited about succeeding in this situation because they gain a little bit from this. "
