All 15 people who played the people's T20 World Cup in June are in the Scotland club, to get led by Richie Berrington
For their first-ever diplomatic people's T20I set against Australia in Edinburgh in September, Scotland have called up right-arm fast Charlie Cassell and medium-pacer Jasper Davidson. The 15 people who played the people's T20 World Cup in June make up the rest of the club, which will be captained by Richie Berrington.
Cassell made a spectacular start to his foreign job, taking 7 for 21- the best International drag on debut- against Oman in the Cricket World Cup League 2 in July. He's played two Wickets for Scotland so far and was even just part of three games in the One-Day Cup for Somerset.
In the CWC League 2 match against Oman, Davidson also took four innings and made his International debut.
" After coming into the club at CWCL2 and doing so well, it'll be excellent for Jasper and Charlie to have the knowledge of what it's like playing against the best, in front of a fairly large crowd", Doug Watson, Scotland's head coach, said. " It's a wonderful opportunity to play against one of the best teams in the world, and I'm confident that our players wo n't need any motivation for this series." It's a fantastic opportunity for them to discuss the discipline with world-class players. They're wanting to put in some great achievements and contend, and actually drive this Australia team.
" The purpose for us is to get this set. The second game is really important- if we can get that, it'll fixed up the following two matches. The whole week may be amazing for the crew, workers, supporters, and all of Scotland."
It will be Australia's second visit of Scotland in 11 times. Three weeks after Australia won a nearby T20 World Cup 2024 match by five innings in St Lucia, the two teams will face off in St Lucia. The Grange may host the games on September 4, 6, and 7 at the venue.
