To justify their Women's Asia Cup title, India has relied on a tried-and-true core group. Amanjot Kaur and Shabnam Shakil were both chosen for the continued T20I set against South Africa, and they were all included in the 17-man club.

Shweta Sehrawat, Saika Ishaque, Tanuja Kanwar, and Meghna Singh have been picked as travelling resources when India go to Sri Lanka, the team they beat in 2022 and the team who will sponsor this version of the game.

India's batting looks good with Shafali Verma and Smriti Mandhana at the top and captain Harmanpreet Kaur to pursue. Richa Ghosh and Uma Chetry are the wicketkeeping choices. The team administration may also benefit from Pooja Vastrakar and Deepti Sharma's all-around abilities and help them balance the lineup in the event of a change.

India's second match of the Asia Cup will be against Pakistan on July 19. They may take on UAE and Nepal in the group stage in the charge to make the knockout stages. Dambulla may host all 15 activities of the competition, including the semi- playoffs and the last.

India are now hosting South Africa in a dual- format visit and are trailing 0- 1 in the T20I line after sweeping the ODI collection 3- 0 and winning the one- off Test. Prior to the T20 World Cup in Bangladesh in September and October, they will be preparing for the Asia Cup.
