The Indiana Pacers signed critical supply T. J. McConnell to a four-year deal improvement.
The Indiana Pacers advanced to the NBA Eastern Conference Finals last year in large part due to the reserves ' effect perform, including T. J. McConnell.
McConnell, 32, was rewarded for his performance with a four-year,$ 45 million deal improvement, per ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski. The 10-year senior had one time remaining on his recent deal, but is now signed through the 2028-29 plan.
Last season, McConnell averaged a career-high 10.2 points per game with 5.5 assists while shooting 41 % on 3-pointers. He stepped up that output during the playoffs to 11.8 positions and played important man-to-man defense against New York Knicks sun Jalen Brunson as the Pacers attempted to lessen the burden on Tyrese Haliburton.

McConnell is going into his 10th NBA season, the next five with the Pacers. As an undrafted free agent out of Arizona, he spent his first four centuries playing for the Philadelphia 76ers. For his career, McConnell has averaged 7.5 positions and 5.1 assists per game and a 35 % 3-point shooting percent.
The Pacers ' most recent move is to maintain a solid core together by signing McConnell to a long-term offer. During this season, Indiana has even re-signed Pascal Siakam and Obi Toppin, while extending Andrew Nembhard, who likewise emerged as a critical backcourt player for the Pacers ' playoff run.
Indiana finished fifth in the East, tied with the Orlando Magic and Sixers with a 47–35 history, and advanced to the playoffs of the in-season game. Before being swept by the future NBA hero Boston Celtics, the Pacers defeated the Milwaukee Bucks and Knicks in the postseason.
