Jake Fischer, a top NBA writer for Yahoo Sports, and Dan Devine, a mature NBA writer for Yahoo Sports, present everything to you in this No Cap Room episode.
They start with Team USA, who has now gone 3-0 in melody up activities ahead of the Paris Olympics. Jacob wonders if LeBron James and Steph Curry may prevent the pair matching, while Dan explains why the bench is the country's greatest strength.
The guys also discuss Kyrie Irvin having surgery on his broken hand, Gary Trent Jr. signing with the Milwaukee Bucks ( thanks to a great recruiting job done by Damian Lillard ) and the Nuggets search for a backup point guard.
Jake & Dan even discuss Knicks user James Dolan sending a notice to the NBA's Board of Governors to talk about profit sharing and about the new TV package that puts more of the most common NBA games of the season on national TV.
While Jake points out that Adam Silver seemed less enthusiastic about NBA rise in his new press conference, the men decide to play a game where each one of them pick a town to get an expansion team and give them a name, plus a minority owner that would help draw in regional supporters.
After the split, Jake tells us all he heard and saw while he was in Las Vegas for Summer League, including adequate disappointment around the new CBA that people are starting to question if the players and owners may try to restructure that part of the deal.
We wrap up the podcast by talking about the four Summer League players Jake and Dan said they would be keeping an eye on, two of whom had not yet played much, and the other two had been a little underwhelmed so far.
