We've got another supper of football coming up as France hosts the men's and women's Olympics football games
As part of the Olympic Summer Games this month, France will host two amazing sport competitions, with Wednesday, July 24th, the first of which will be played in the field.
16 men's teams and 12 women's teams will face off to determine the medalists in each game, each starting with a group period before turning into a flat knock plan.
If you're keen to take in every minute of it... well, you're going to need to dual-screen it during the class level, we're frightened. But do n't worry: here's every kick-off time so you do n't want to miss a kick at the Olympics.
Olympics 2024 soccer plan explained
Sports the Olympics is only one small component of an overall activities project, unlike most summer games, which try to spread out as much as possible to make sure there are activities on each time. A premium is placed on getting things done in a time-efficient method, especially since there are basically two tournaments running side by side.
That means that the men's and women's games will play all their games in each stage ( group game 1, group game 2, group game 3, quarter-finals, semi-final, bronze medal game and final ) across one day apiece.
In the interests of brevity: the exception being that there are no 3pm kick-offs for the women in the group stage as there are only three groups ( not four, as in the men's tournament ). The only occasion when a men's final and a women's metal match occur on the same day is on Friday, August 9 is when both the men's last and women's iron match occur.
With two kick-offs scheduled for 3pm, 5pm, 7pm, and 9pm French time ( an hour ahead of UK time ), the men's tournament's group games will take place on Wednesday July 24 ( Saturday July 27 ), Saturday July 27 ( Saturday July 30 ), and Tuesday July 30 ( an hour ahead of UK time ). Other than in the third and final round of group activities, when each piece of party games will begin together, these moment slots are split between the groups.
All four men's quarter-finals will be played on Friday August 2, with the same four time slots. That means that we may get games overlapping one another should they go to extra time and penalties, as they do in the event of a draw after 90 minutes.
The men's semi-finals will take place on Monday August 5 at 6 p.m. and 9 p.m., followed by the bronze medal match on Thursday August 8 at 5 p.m. and the final at 6 p.m. on Friday, August 9 at 6 p.m.
