The FA continue to look for Gareth Southgate's replacement with the addition of a second prospect.
Following Gareth Southgate's departure on Tuesday morning, there is rife rumors about who will lead England.
Southgate stood over less than 48 hours after the Three Lions lost the Euro 2024 last to Spain, calling day on an eight-year charm in charge of the national team.
In recent days, a number of prominent international coaches have been linked with the position, with the FA revealing little about the account they are seeking. The list includes the best English candidates that are available.
Ange Postecoglou is one of the most recent professionals to have ties to Tottenham Hotspur, according to the Telegraph, who claims that the Australian is "expected to be on the list of candidates" produced by the FA and that professional director John McDermott is a fan of the 58-year-old.
However, these studies appeared to be information to Postecoglou himself, when they were put to him following Spur ' 5-1 pre-season triumph over Souls in Edinburgh on Wednesday night.
" Mate, I'm in the middle of the pre-season, the start of pre-season. I'm the Tottenham manager, so I have got nothing else but trying to bring victory to this sport team and until I do that, there is no place in me thinking about something else", he told Sky Sports News.
He continued," I had a nap this afternoon, but I have no idea what's happening."
Following his five-year tenure as Australia's manager between 2013 and 2017, Postecoglou was subsequently asked if he would consider taking on another foreign position.
" I enjoyed my time", he continued. " I had four wonderful times. We won the Asia Cup and qualified for the World Cup, but with all these issues there is always a healthy end, and I thought it was a natural conclusion for me there.
I enjoyed leading the nation's football team. In the future, who knows? Five years ago I was in Japan, and today I am in the Premier League."
On September 7, England travels to Dublin for a Nations League match, followed by a Wembley match against Finland three days later.
