N'Golo Kante's outstanding shows for France at Euro 2024 may see him make a move back to the Premier League this summertime.

Following his seven-year stay with Chelsea and his contribution to Leicester City's 2015/16 success, the 33-year-old made the move to Saudi Arabian side Al-Ittihad in 2023.

Kante started every game for the France team after missing for two years as Les Bleus were beaten by Spain in the semi-finals.

The Guardian reports that the Hammers are interested in completing a £20million package that would see Kante return to London, claiming there is a "willingness" for both edges to get a bargain done, and these shows appear to have convinced West Ham United that the midfielder can still do so.

After Kalvin Phillips ' payment move from Manchester City in January failed to meet their expectations, West Ham are in the market for a defense midfielder. Julen Lopetegui has taken over at the London Stadium this summer and is a known disciple of Kante and attempted to signal him during his short time in charge at True Madrid in 2018, when the player was probably at the top of his rights.

Kante made the move to Saudi Arabia next summer after the validity of his lease at Chelsea and turned out 30 days for Al-Ittihad last year as they finished second in the Saudi Pro League.

After replacing David Moyes in the bleachers, West Ham have now signed Max Kilman, Luis Guilherme, and Wes Foderingham this summer.
