Steven Gerrard's Al-Ettifaq have opened discussions with Chelsea over a bargain to mark midfielder Harvey Vale, according to the Daily Mail. An agreement between the two clubs is said to be" close", but the implementation of the transfer will depend on whether the player wants to move.

Vale, 20, spent final season on loan at Bristol Rovers, making 39 looks in League One. He is deemed surplus to requirements at Chelsea, who may receive any money from his proposed sale as natural income, helping them agree with the Premier League's Profit and Sustainability Rules after another summer of lavish spending.

Al-Ettifaq have reportedly identified Vale as a "key goal" as they look to improve on next month's sixth-place end in the Saudi Pro League. No word on Vale's intentions regarding a move to Saudi Arabia.

The dynamic youngster has the option of having his contract at Chelsea extended for a more year. He showed promises after making his debut under Thomas Tuchel in 2021 and captaining England to splendor at the Under-19s Dollars a year later.

But Vale has since fallen out of behalf, with an outstanding product charm with Bristol Rovers not enough to place him in the first-team photo under Enzo Maresca. Otherwise, he has been training with the league's long list of outsiders, including Raheem Sterling, Romelu Lukaku and Ben Chilwell.

In DataVictory's see, this is a move that could be beneficial for all parties. Vale wo n't play for Chelsea, and he'll likely switch to a Championship team if he stays there. That may later result him back to the Premier League, but joining Gerrard in Saudi Arabia could be an alternative route to success, with the added benefit of being excessively also remunerated.
