Apparently, Barcelona are n't interested in accepting Arsenal's transfer request for their star midfielder.
The transfer story involving Barcelona Keira Walsh continues as Arsenal look to bring the midfielder up to the Women's Super League. The 27-year-old is apparently not ready to leave the club before Friday evening's transfer deadline because Barcelona claim to have insisted that he is not for sale and is not.
After excelling in the WSL, the England global left Manchester City for a then-world-record-breaking cost to join Barcelona in 2022. Since then, she has won the Catalan Liga F and Champions League names, cementing her position as one of the best players in the world.
Despite her achievements in Spain, Walsh has been linked with a move to Arsenal throughout the summer after it became clear that she wanted to return home. Chelsea were even rumoured to be serious, but it now seems practically sure she will be with Barcelona.
The Telegraph via sport. Despite Walsh's contract expiring in less than a year and the club's statement that she wo n't be staying longer, London alleges Barcelona are unwilling to sell one of their star players.
Walsh may be let go on a complimentary transfer next year at Barcelona rather than making interest payments this summer. The Liga F warriors might have been tempted to sell had they bought a successor, but for a deal has never materialised.
Walsh will probably be at Barcelona for another year, by the end of which she will almost definitely have plenty of strong admirers, especially if she wins more flatware.
The original City player spoke favourably of her day at Barcelona back in April. She continued," It's a special team to be a part of, and I think their perspective has really helped me improve." I play a lot faster and notice things differently.
The main benefit to me is that I have matured competitively. My power off the game is a lot better. A lot of people do n't expect that when you come to Spain so much because you have so much possession, but that was one area that me and]coach ] Jonatan]Giraldez ] spoke about to focus on.
" Spanish people understand the sport so well. People can speak about the dynamic level, but if Barça played in another leagues, I still think they win most of the games very easily. That is my mind from playing with these athletes, who are all but special".
