Since 2015, New Zealand have been the most continuous aspect in World Cups, making it to the semi- last in all six copies- in 2015, 2019 and 2023 in the ODI World Cup, and in 2016, 2021 and 2022 in the T20 types. Even though they always won the prize, they did so three times to reach the final.
But at the 2024 T20 World Cup, they are in danger of abolition after just one suit. The match against West Indies is about a knockout for them because of an 84-run beating by Afghanistan.
Their refusal to play any warm-up game was even examined by the defeat against Afghanistan, which saw them appear dirty both on and off the area.
West Indies, to, started their plan in a stuttering way, taking 19 wickets to hunt down 137 against Papua New Guinea. But they roared again to pack out Uganda for 39 to file a 134- work win. They will become the first Group C team to advance to the Super Eight if they defeat New Zealand.
West Indies know this is their toughest challenge still but, as their commander Rovman Powell said, "if there is a great time to play New Zealand, it is now".
This is the first people's T20 World Cup game in Trinidad, they did not get any in 2010. The ICC is anticipating a sizable audience, which is likely to be a sell-out, for this reason.
