Instead of a hero's farewell, the Dhaka Test will now be Bangladesh's second Exam in the post-Shakib Al Hasan century, after the state advised Shakib never to come to the country, due to security reasons. South Africa, however, are slowly preparing for their first Evaluation in Bangladesh in nine times. The customers are apparently spending long hours playing football in the Shere Bangla National Stadium to counteract their lack of experience in Bangladesh.
Temba Bavuma and Kagiso Rabada are the only survivors from their last visit of Bangladesh, when weather forced both Exams to be drawn. South Africa are likely to have at least one debut in their best four to replace Bavuma. Dewald Brevis, a T20 sun, might be the one to step up.

There is no obvious substitute for Shakib of program, but Bangladesh may be hoping they can live on a healthy XI quickly.

Hasan Mahmud has made a convincing stop to his Test job. The thin medium-pacer bowls a indicate line and size on a coin outside offstump. Debuting earlier this year, Mahmud has now taken five-wicket tows in Pakistan and India. With 20 wickets in five Tests, he has without a doubt made his Bangladesh hard bowler's best stop. A house Test is often a problem, especially at the Shere Bangla National Stadium, but Mahmud's control will come in useful.
David Bedingham is preparing for his first major problem by playing in the sub-continent, following a successful state time for Durham. The elegant middle-order batter may face skilled spinners in the process. The 30-year-old has just six Tests to go on an important trip.
