During the first Exam in Chennai, it was reported that an allrounder was having a hand niggle.
Shakib Al Hasan's involvement in the next Check between India and Bangladesh will begin on Friday, but head coach Chandika Hathurusinghe dispelled any doubts as he said the all-rounder was "eligible for choice."
Shakib was at Bangladesh's training session in Kanpur on Wednesday although his stint did n't last too long. His second Test performance in Chennai, which he did not start bowling until the 53rd over of India's opening over, was considerably underpar. While it was mentioned on the spread that Shakib may have been struggling with a hand injuries, Bangladesh's batting coach David Hemp said he was conscious of that in Chennai and Hathurusinghe reiterated that position in Kanpur.
" I have n't heard anything officially or any complaints ( about Shakib )", he said. " There is no doubt about that at the time. I have n't heard from my physio or from anyone. He's also available for collection".
Shakib had images of 0 for 50 in eight innings and 0 for 79 in 13 innings in Chennai, and scored 32 and 25 in Bangladesh's 280-run battle. When asked whether Shakib's efficiency had upset him, Hathurisinghe replied," I'm not. I'm upset never about his achievement but our entire performance, we may have done better. He may think he can do better, too, I'm convinced of it. We are all aware of his potential. In the second inning, I believe he batted truly also. He could n't go on. Not because of lack of pride. It's pure quality of the criticism".
Trailing the two-match set 0-1, Bangladesh are in need of a better bowling performance, particularly in the first pitches. The pitch is anticipated to be less colorful than the one in Chennai, so the weather may help.
Hathurisinghe argued that the people had discussed their shortcomings and that the issue was "whether we can do that in the middle." We have our Indicators, what we want, and we usually talk about if you make a stop, make it great. That's the biggest problem, because some of the men got 30 balloons ( and finally got out ). In cricket, it's the hardest item to get in. But finally, this team, India, has been posing various problems, but we know that as well. So we have to get better for more".
Bangladesh had their left-hand big top-order picked apart by India's bowlers in Chennai. Mahmudul Hasan Joy, a right-hander, is available for them, but it wo n't be a knee-jerk move.
" Just because of the left-handers, right-handers, is not the thing that we will take into consideration. If we are making a shift, whether that player, Mahmudul Joy, or anyone else who is arriving, what he can provide and who will lose out, we will approach it thoroughly rather than left or right.
