Saleema, who is Kainat's mother, says," This is n't just a win for me, it's a win for every aspiring female cricketer and umpire in Pakistan"
The first person from Pakistan to be chosen for the ICC's global development umpires is Saleema Imtiaz. Imtiaz's election makes her ready to attend in women's diplomatic international games and ICC women's events. Beginning on Monday in Multan, her second on-field look will be in the Pakistan vs. South Africa T20I line, which may begin there.
" The journey has been filled with hard work and personal concessions, but now that we are in the midst of this new book, it feels for it," Imtiaz said in a statement the PCB released. " This is n't just a win for me, it's a win for every aspiring female cricketer and umpire in Pakistan. I'm hoping that many women who have made their mark in the sport will find inspiration in my achievement. This second reflects the growing influence of women in cricket and the PCB's devotion to fostering that growth".
Kainat Imtiaz, who has so far played for Pakistan in 40 foreign games, is Imtiaz's mother. The top Imtiaz has officiated in 22 T20Is thus much, 16 on area and in six as the TV judge. Her most recent match as the on-field judge was the Women's Asia Cup final in Dambulla, between Sri Lanka and India, after attending in three people activities in the game.
" Ever since Kainat made her debut for Pakistan in 2010, my own dream has been to represent my country at an international level", she said. Although I've had some prospects with the Asian Cricket Council, my final goal has always been to officiate at the highest levels. I'm then focused on performing to the best of my abilities in both diplomatic and ICC games, and building my status as a trusted and reputed match official".
Imtiaz began her officiating job with the PCB children's section in 2008 and she had officiated in the 2022 Asia Cup and the 2023 ACC Emerging Women's Cup in Hong Kong as well.
