In the ICC Men's Cricket World Cup League 2 match against Oman, Scotland's fast bowler Charlie Cassell took 7 for 21 in 5.4 wickets to break the record for best figures in the ODI album.

The report was held by South Africa's Kagiso Rabada, who had taken 6 for 16 on his ODI album against Bangladesh in July 2015.

Cassell was replaced by Chris Sole, who was unable to play for personal reasons, in the Scotland club for the games against Oman on July 15.

" You've come up from a large defeat, with that enormous wound you had, throw you out for a month and a bit", Scotland captain Richie Berrington said when presenting Cassell with his helmet before the match against Oman. " Just to see your endurance coming up, getting back on the area, and just enjoy watching what you do at Forfs]Forfashire], and just the way how you hold yourself is amazing".

With the first two pellets he faced against Oman, Cassell made a spectacular start to his worldwide profession, trapping Zeeshan Maqsood lbw and ball Ayaan Khan. He missed a hat-trick but finally had Khalid Kail caught off his fourth supply, and when he had Shoaib Khan caught in his next over, Cassell had remarkable characters of 1.3-1-0-4.

Mehran Khan became Cassell's five innings. He finally dismissed Pratik Athavale to meet Rabada and West Indies ' Fidel Edwards as the only batsmen with six innings on ODI album, before ending Oman's wickets by having Bilal Khan caught behind to pick up a record eighth in his lady worldwide.

Cassell's 7 for 21 helped Scotland ignore Oman for 91 in 21.4 wickets.
