Strong bowling results from back injuries, Sophie Devine and Suzie Bates are set for their seventh T20 World Cup
Rosemary Mair, a fast bowler, will be up for the children's T20 World Cup in 2019 after suffering a back injuries in their home series against England in March, which may boost New Zealand. Sophie Devine and Suzie Bates, their captain, will begin the T20 World Cup in the UAE in October, playing their seventh match.
The two may have participated in each T20 World Cup competition.
Mair, who has 18 batsmen from 24 T20Is, may boost a pace attack spanning the expert Lea Tahuhu, Jess Kerr, Hannah Rowe and Molly Penfold, while Bates and Brooke Halliday are also choices as fast-bowling allrounders. The spin-bowling section includes Leigh Kasperek, Melie Kerr, Fran Jonas and Eden Carson.
It's a generally expert crew, with wicketkeeper-batter Izzy Gaze the single player not to have played a T20 World Cup earlier.
" I'm definitely pleased with this club, and I think these 15 people are our best at adapting to the good challenging problems," said New Zealand head coach Ben Sawyer. " Soph]Devine ] and Suze]Bates ] have a huge amount of tournament experience from World Cups to franchise leagues, so we'll certainly be leaning on that knowledge in what's going to be a pretty intense competition.
" Rosemary's had an unfortunate move with injuries over the past several weeks, and she's worked difficult to get fit for this competition. She's proved herself as one of our vital rate options and we're excited she's returning."
In preparation for the World Cup, New Zealand may travel to Australia for three T20Is, with the same club scheduled to play in Mackay and Brisbane on September 19 and 24.
They then play warm-up matches against South Africa and England on September 29 and October 1, both, before the start of the World Cup right, where they face India in their first match on October 4. Aside from India, those in New Zealand's team include Australia, Sri Lanka and Pakistan.
The World Cup will become Devine's next assignment as New Zealand's T20I captain.
