The event took place in the final over of Afghanistan's pitches in their Super Eight match against Bangladesh
Rashid Khan, the commander of Afghanistan, was sent to the ICC for a stage 1 misconduct in his group's Super Eight game against Bangladesh on July 24.
The event for which Rashid was penalised took position in the 20th over of Afghanistan's innings. Rashid had hit the ball into the handball and wanted the second move to preserve attack but was sent up by his team- partner Karim Janat. An angry Rashid had to return late- pitch and he threw his wicket in Janat's path before he did thus.
As a result, one fault stage has been added to Rashid's administrative history, it was his first infraction in a 24- fortnight interval. Stage 1 breaches carry a maximum sentence of a rebuke and a maximum sentence of a 50 % fine of a team's complement fee, and one or two demerit points.
In the end, Rashid led Afghanistan to an eight-run victory over Bangladesh using the DLS method to make their first semi-final look at a T20 World Cup by winning 19 of their last 10 balls and taking 4 for 23 in the suit. They take on South Africa in Trinidad on June 26 for a place in the final.
