reaches the location at Khettarama for the next ODI between India and Sri Lanka.
Ranjan Madugalle has become the first match referee to officiate 400 OD Is, with his taking charge of the third ODI between India and Sri Lanka at Khettarama.
Madugalle has been a match referee since 1993 and in that day has also officiated more than 200 Checks, even a record. He had, in contrast, served as the ICC's general match referee until that place was removed.
Simon Taufel, past elite-panel judge and the former judges performance and education director for the ICC paid memorial to Madugalle.
" Ranjan's longevity is remarkable", Taufel said. " He was there at the end of my foreign officiating career and the end. He has served Sri Lanka, the ICC and activity of cricket with distinction and dignity. This step highlights his determination and commitment to the game he loves. A powerful game for him and the officials, please.
Before turning his attention to serving games, Madugalle had played 63 Tests and Test matches as a flour for Sri Lanka.
