The openers could be out of action for around two days with a groin injury
With the entry flour suffering a thigh injury*, Bangladesh will miss Mahmudul Hasan Joy for the first two-test collection in Pakistan. The Bangladeshi team management anticipates that the injury will take two weeks to treat, which will prevent him from playing the second Test in Rawalpindi, which is scheduled for August 21 to August 25.
" Joy had complained of discomfort in the right thigh on 14 August while playing for Bangladesh A in the four-day match against Pakistan A", team doctor Bayjedul Islam Khan said. He had an MRI, followed by a physical exam, and it has since been determined that his proper thigh is suffering from a Grade 1 adductor stress.
" He has begun his recovery. Recovery from these conditions typically takes between 10 and 14 weeks. Although he wo n't be able to play the first test, we hope to have him ready for the second test, which will begin on August 30.
In the first pitches of the Bangladeshi team, which finished with 153 for 5 on the final time, Mahmudul scored 65 out of a full of 122. The damage is set to upset a somewhat settled starting mix, with Mahmudul and Zakir Hasan having batted at the top of the order in each of Bangladesh's final five Tests. Of the other bowlers in the crew, Shadman Islam is likely to get Mahmudul's location should he not been available for selection.
The Bangladeshi squad's 16-member members were scheduled to travel to Islamabad on August 17 after training at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore on August 14 and 16. After continued construction labor in Karachi forced a change of venue, the two Tests may be held in Rawalpindi.
