With that, USAC has met one of the two crucial demands to keep from being disqualified as an ICC Associate part.
Johnathan Atkeison was appointed CEO of USA Cricket ( USAC ) on Saturday. The move comes after the ICC put them "on see" earlier this week for never having a fit-for-purpose management and operational system and construction.
With this nomination, USAC successfully met one of the two crucial needs to keep from being disqualified as an ICC Associate. The US Olympic and Paralympic Committee ( USOPC )'s ( USOPC ) other requirements included having the necessary governance standards in place for it to be eligible for the National Governing Body ( NGB ) designation, which is required for all sports added to the 2028 Olympics in Los Angeles last year.

It's an amazing moment for the sport these in the United States with the traditional efficiency of the men's national team in the new T20 World Cup, the completion of the next season of Major League Cricket, and the first opportunity to showcase cricket in the Olympics here on home soil during the LA28 games", Atkeison said in a media release.

Atkeison most recently served as the Chief Operating Office of USA Rugby and has over 15 years of national governing body knowledge. He is credited for leading USA Rugby through a fiscal reform in 2020. His career did begin from August 1.
The ICC distributed a word titled" Associate Member Membership Update" to all of its members forward of its AGM, in which it noted that USOPC "had expressed serious concerns" about USAC's management. It was the next day in the year that the ICC put USAC on recognize and gave them 12 months to make rectifications.
The ICC table will have the authority to dismiss or expel a member for continuing non-compliance, the ICC had stated in a statement following the AGM earlier this year.
