New seat, who replaces Sir Ronnie Flanagan, may assume the role on November 1, 2024
Sumathi Dharmawardena of Sri Lanka has been appointed as the ICC's anti-corruption unit's (ACU) fresh separate head.
The General Manager-Integrity is in charge of overseeing and leading the ACU, which is run at the professional stage. According to an ICC internet release, Mr. Dharmawardena will begin playing the role on November 1, 2024.
Dharmawardena has represented the state and the government of activity in numerous legal matters at Sri Lanka's Attorney General's Department. He has even worked for Interpol and the UN Office on Drugs and Crime, where he was responsible for overseeing prosecutions under the Sports Act's reduction of crimes.
He will change Sir Ronnie Flanagan, who may withdraw from the place after 14 years in charge. Alex Marshall, the mind of the ACU, may even stop his seven-year name at the end of November.
