Next month, the previous South Australia and Adelaide Protesters trainer will be in charge of two four-day matches in Darwin.
Jason Gillespie will be back in Australia for his first two four-day games with the Shaheens ( Pakistan A) in Darwin next month as part of his new role as Pakistan's Test coach.
Before returning to Pakistan in time to get ready for a two-test set against Bangladesh, Pakistan Shaheens may sing two four-day matches against Bangladesh A between July 19 and July 26.
The Shaheens may be in Darwin during August, playing 50- over matches against Northern Territory and Bangladesh A, before taking part in an expanded nine- team Major End T20 line for the next year running.
" The opportunity to become the head instructor of Pakistan's Test area is fantastic", Gillespie, who quit as South Australia and Adelaide Strikers instructor, told a PCB audio soon after his appointment. " It's an honour. I've been coaching in a variety of roles around the world for a while, but I have n't managed to lead an international Test team. I seized upon the chance that presented itself.
A Bangladesh High Performance area will also be featured in the Top End line, which will run from August 9 to August 18. Tasmania did likewise have, along with Perth Scorchers and Adelaide Workers, in their team. The game features Melbourne Renegades and Stars club sides, as they did in previous years, while defending leaders NT Strike and the ACT Stars are absent.
Strong bowling Khurram Shahzad, who made his Test album against Australia in Perth next year before his injury-free visit was ended first, has been named in the PCB's club, along with one more player and a captain to be confirmed before the tour.
