Cameron White left the Melbourne Renegades and he has a three-year contract with the team.
Following his withdrawal as England Men's white-ball team head coach, Matthew Mott has signed a three-year deal with the Sydney Sixers as secretary coach.
Mott, who was in command of Australia Women for eight centuries before shifting to England, will link up with Greg Shipperd at Sixers as a replacement for Cameron White who was appointed head coach of Melbourne Renegades earlier this year.
" I'm happy to meet again up with the Sydney Sixers" Mott said. " I'm looking forward to starting my coaching voyage in Sydney, which has a lot of good thoughts and a pleasant sense of familiarity," I said.
" The idea of being an associate to Greg Shipperd, who I have a tremendous amount of respect for, truly appealed to me."
Mott's charm as England's white-ball coach started beautifully when they won the 2022 T20 World Cup in Australia, to connect both global white-ball prizes, but ended after their semi-final return at the event earlier this year which followed a bad performance in the ODI release in 2023.
Mott started his coaching job with the 2007 New South Wales people's area. His returning to the government's system may see him return with Rachael Haynes who was one of the vital members of the Australia part he coached to broad success.
" We could n't be more pleased to have Motty committed for the next three years with the club," Haynes, Sixers ' general manager, said". When the opportunity arises to bring a coach of Motty's calibre into your ranks, it's a no-brainer. We are aware of how invaluable he will be to our party.
" It goes without saying that his training begin speaks for itself. He has an extraordinary track-record of victory around the world, and he's proven he knows what it takes to develop, and support, a winning culture.
" Our team is in safe hands under the command of Greg Shipperd, and Charlotte Edwards in our women's programme, and we're delighted to be able to increase Motty's knowledge to that group, taking us forward."
In the BBL review last weekend, Flyers retained James Vince when Renegades attempted to signal him and eventually sprang a surprise by taking Yorkshire legspinner Jafer Chohan as their last get. Before the review, they had secured West Indies left-arm spin Akeal Hosein.
