Matthews missed the second ODI in Hambantota also, as West Indies were rolled over for 92 in 31 innings with Sri Lanka chasing down the objective in 21.2 innings and winning by five innings. Shemaine Campbelle led the West Indies system in the next game and is likely to remain as skipper for the next ODI which will be played in Hambantota on June 21.
CWI was, nevertheless, cheerful of Matthews recovering in time for the three- match T20I line which gets live from June 24 at the same place.
