Cummins: Having allrounders in the best six' big'

Australia were able to discipline an unchanged front Test attack next season and Cameron Green may be important to them doing it repeatedly

With Australia's all-rounders expected to play a crucial role in ensuring the first-choice rate assault can sustain through five Assessments in a little more than seven weeks, Pat Cummins anticipates Cameron Green will have a heavier load with the basketball against India this summer.

Through their seven Test matches against Pakistan, West Indies, and New Zealand last year, Australia were able to play a front-line assault that remained intact. In just three of the pitches, Australia was required to plate more than 78 innings, which helped keep Cummins, Mitchell Starc, and Josh Hazlewood healthy. None of the matches started on a second day.

After David Warner retired, Green returned to the side against West Indies, but he was only required for 42 wickets in four Testing. This was an extra ball choice.
