In two County Championship game, Chahal took nine innings while playing for Kent in 2023.
Yuzvendra Chahal did meet Northamptonshire for their last Royal London One-Day Cup match, against Kent, and will also enjoy the five remaining County Championship accessories for the team.
Legspinner Chahal, 34, will join the squad ahead of Wednesday's journey to Canterbury to face Kent, and he will be accessible for the rest of the red-ball plan.
Chahal had spent time at Kent in the 2023 time, and took nine innings in two sports.
John Sadler, the head coach for Northamptonshire, believes Chahal will give the team's bowling attack more variety and depth. " Yuzvendra is another high-profile outside player who brings with him a wealth of knowledge and some amazing knowledge", he said. " His history speaks for itself and his wicket-taking potential will increase power to our attack".
In April 2024, Chahal became the first bowling in the background of the IPL to achieve the level of 200 innings. He was one of four front spinner in India's 2024 T20 World Cup-winning club, but did never find a match. Though the selectors continue to keep the top legspinner on their list of back-ups, specifically for the least format, this may give him an opportunity to be match-fit and improve his red-ball activity.
Northamptonshire are already placed one off the base in the nine-team One-Day Cup Group A board, having won just one of the seven games so far.
