The BCCI has decided to release INR 1 billion for the treatment of former India flour Anshuman Gaekwad, who is battling body tumor at a medical center in London.

Kapil Dev and Sandeep Patil urged the panel to support Gaekwad, and the BCCI made the decision.

The BCCI peak government stated in a statement that Mr. Jay Shah has given the BCCI the directive to immediately grant financial support to India's seasoned cricketer Mr. Anshuman Gaekwad, who is battling cancer.

" Shah has also spoken to Mr Gaekwad's home to take stock of the condition and expand help", the statement continued. " The committee stands by Gaekwad's relatives in this hour of problems and will do whatever is necessary for Mr Gaekwad's rapid healing.

The BCCI is convinced that Mr. Gaekwad may successfully exit this stage and will continue to monitor his progress.

Gaekwad, 71, played 40 Checks and 15 Wickets for India between 1975 and 1987. Eventually, he became a selection and then the coach of the national team.
