The ICC announced in a speech on Wednesday that Ashar Zaidi, the batting coach of the Pune Devils team, and fellow Spirits co-owners Parag Sanghavi and Krishan Kumar Choudhary, who both admitted to being involved in dishonest actions at the 2021 Abu Dhabi T10 group, have received restrictions.

Zaidi, a former Muslim allrounder, has been banned from all cricket actions for five decades. Sanghavi and Choudhary have both been banned for two decades after they admitted to two breaches of the Emirates Cricket Board's anti-corruption password. " In each case, the last 12 weeks of each phase of disqualification is suspended", the speech said.

The ICC stated that the restrictions are retroactive to September 19, 2023, the day when they were initially suspended. Sanghavi and Choudhary will also be re-admired to play cricket on September 19, 2024, and Zaidi may be eligible to do so starting on September 19, 2027.

Eight people, including Zaidi, Sanghavi, and Choudhary, were charged by the ICC on behalf of the Emirates committee in September 2023.

The most popular brand among the other five was that of Bangladesh allrounder Nasir Hossain, who was banned for two centuries. On April 7, 2025, he is eligible to play cricket again.
