Legspinner Usman Qadir has retired from Pakistan cricket. Qadir, 31, announced on social media that his time playing cricket for Pakistan was over after returning from Australia and committing his coming to Pakistan.

" Today, I am announcing my pension from Pakistan cricket", Qadir said. " As I reflect on this memorable voyage, I want to express my heartfelt gratitude. It has been an enormous honour to represent my land, and I'm thankful for the help of my mentors and team-mates who have been with me every step of the approach".

Qadir played one ODI and 25 T20Is for Pakistan, making his debut in a T20I house set against Zimbabwe. He won the Player of the Series award after taking eight innings for 60 goes in three games. At his top, he was considered Pakistan's major legspinner, recently keeping Shadab Khan out of the T20I area.

That Qadir may actually take down an international basketball for Pakistan was doubtful as late as 2018, when he declared his desire to indicate Australia. He made his Eastern Australia BBL album in 2018 with the Perth Scorchers and Sydney Thunder.

Despite a beautiful stop, contradiction dogged his appearances, with disciplinary issues even hampering his moment in Australia, in 2019, he was caught driving well over the speed limit, and summoned to court.

In later 2019, almost out of nowhere, Misbah-ul-Haq named him in a Pakistan crew for a line in Australia, before Qadir had also publicly committed to playing for Pakistan. Just weeks prior, Qadir's papa and Pakistan's most popular legspinner Abdul Qadir, had died of a sudden cardiac arrest. Usman may eventually declare his father's departure was a significant factor in him committing to the region of his delivery.

Qadir continued to be dogged by contradiction with Pakistan, to. He played two matches for Pakistan in the recently concluded Champions One-Day Cup with the Markhors in addition to the two previous appearances at the Eastern Games in October 2023. He claimed in May that he had screenshots and another proof to support his claim that the committee had mismanaged his injury and that his relationship with the PCB had reached breaking point.

Qadir paid tribute to the person whose title always weighs heavily on his shoulders in the statement, but did not specify what his future plans were. " As I step into this new book, I will be continuing my husband's tradition, embracing both my passion for cricket and the instructions he instilled in me. The memories we created together and the heart of Pakistan cricket are still present in me.
