After Wahab and Razzak were fired in July, he was one of the five council people who remained vetoes.
Mohammad Yousuf announced his resignation from the Pakistan men's area, further reducing the size of the restructured selection committee. Yousuf, who was one of five remaining voting members on the committee, said in a post on X ( formerly Twitter ) that he was quitting for "personal reasons".
Serving this extraordinary team has been a great privilege, and I'm happy to have helped Pakistan cricket grow and prosper, Yousuf said. " I have tremendous belief in the talent and nature of our people, and want our team all the best as they continue to strive for glory".
Soon after, a PCB speech thanked Yousuf for his service, saying he had "voluntarily stepped down…to rely on other essential tasks within the cricket table". Show remains a batting coach at the PCB's National High Performance Centre.
Comings and goings in Pakistan's selectorial installation are no new but it has become particularly dangerous over the past few decades. Wahab Riaz was appointed chief selection late last month, overseeing set defeats against Australia and New Zealand, and a remarkable row with Haris Rauf that saw the rapid bowler's key contract ripped up and then restored a few weeks later.
In March, PCB president Mohsin Naqvi announced a fresh selection council with seven people and no commander selector. But after Pakistan's fatal first-round return at the T20 World Cup in June, Wahab and Abdul Razzaq were sacked by the PCB and never replaced, whittling the agency's voting people down to the captains and mentors, and Asad Shafiq and Yousuf. Yousuf's departure, with no expression on whether he will be replaced, means Shafiq is the only election representative outside of the officers and coaches also part of the selection committee.
After making the club community for the first Evaluation in Multan, which begins on October 7, the agency's next job will be to announce the crew for the remaining of Pakistan's Test series against England.
