Rashid Khan is out of the one-off Check against New Zealand due to a back injuries.

He was injured while playing for the Speen Ghar Tigers in the Shpageeza Cricket League, according to the team control.

Rashid Khan is not included in Afghanistan's tentative 20-man squad to experience New Zealand in a one-off Test in Noida on September 9. Due to a back injury, Rashid Khan will miss the first 20 games. According to the team management, he suffered the injury while playing for Speen Ghar Tigers (SGT ) in the Shpageeza Cricket League (SCL), which is Afghanistan's domestic T20 tournament, last month.

All three of Rashid's games at the SCL came on successive days from August 18, yet as he bagged six innings at an average of 9.33 and an market price of 5.09. In his second game, Rashid even smashed 53 off only 26 balls out of his team's total of 112 in a compressed match against Amo Sharks.

It was during that match that he experienced anguish in his rear, and was thus forced to miss SGT's second match two days later.

Rashid had even gone through a back injuries and following surgery just after the World Cup in India in October-November last year. That had ruled him out of all cricket for four weeks, before he returned to actions in a T20I set against Ireland this March. Rashid also suffered a hip strain while playing for the Trent Rockets at the Hundred, which caused him to miss the final two games of the Rockets.

Afghanistan have begun training in Noida, their adopted home earth, for the Test against New Zealand, which will be the second day that the two groups will be facing each other in the file. The Greater Noida Sports Complex Ground will host the second Test of its kind.

Soon after the Test against New Zealand ends on September 13, Afghanistan fly to Sharjah to enjoy a three-match ODI set against South Africa from September 18.
