Darcie Brown has recovered from a tension fracture of the legs to take her place in Australia's 15-player club for the Women's T20 World Cup 2024 which has been moved to the UAE from Bangladesh.

Nevertheless, Jess Jonassen, who was left out of the tour of Bangladesh earlier this year, misses a World Cup for the first time when she has been available for selection.

It is a quite settled club of 15, led by Alyssa Healy, as Australia look to make it four T20 World Cup trophies in a column. Grace Harris and Sophie Molineux have recovered from wounds that prevented them from appearing in England's Hundred.

Brown may be joined by Tayla Vlaeminck in providing Australia two batsmen with more speed. In her first T20 World Cup appearance, Phoebe Litchfield.

" This is the first day in a long time we've had our full agreement listing available for selection back of a World Cup and it's resulted in a really stable and balanced squad", regional selection Shawn Flegler said. " It's the first day Alyssa will have the ropes at a World Cup and we've already seen what her and Tahlia bring from a leadership perspective, so it's interesting for them to have this opportunity to lead their nation on the biggest stage.

" Pheobe is a real x-factor for us and will be effectively supported by an expert party at her first World Cup. We've been waiting for a while to release the speed combo of Tayla and Darcie, and it's really making a difference.

The door was kept locked for Jonassen, who has been a key player on Australia's factors for the past ten years, forcing her to return to the set-up during the winter, which includes an Ashes series.

" Jess Jonassen is once terrible to lose out, but we've been impressed with the way she's bounced back, and we'll continue to monitor her kind ahead of the house summer," Flegler said.

With the addition of all-rounder Heather Graham, who wo n't travel to the UAE, the World Cup squad will also play the three T20Is against New Zealand in March.
