Charania announced his move to the community weeks after his original leader, foe and longtime NBA inside Adrian Wojnarowski stepped down from his position at ESPN to become the general manager for the basketball program at his alma mater St. Bonaventure.

Charania will visit ESPN after leaving The Athletic. Wojnarowski and Charania earlier collaborated at Yahoo Sports, where they provided mentorship for Charania.
The two competitors Charania and Wojnarowski had the most success in the NBA's breaking information, and they each gained a sizable following on social media as the game progressed. With Wojnarowski's pension from the market, Charania joins ESPN as the leading voice in sports breaking news.

Wojnarowski made the announcement on September 18 that he would depart ESPN for his university. Wojnarowski graduated from St. Bonaventure in 1991 before embarking on a career in journalism.
" This create transformed my career, but I've decided to retire from ESPN and the media business", Wojnarowski wrote on social media. I am aware of the commitments that go into my job, but I am not more motivated to do so. Time is n't in endless offer, and I want to invest me in ways that are more physically meaningful".
Wojnarowski was leaving his approximately$ 20 million deal with ESPN, according to Andrew Marchand of The Athletic at the time. Conditions of Charania's cope with ESPN were not originally reported.
