Kristaps Porziņģis acknowledged that" things happened" but declined to elaborate on an obvious Game 2 damage. He's convinced that he'll enjoy in Game 3.
After a staring responsibility for the Celtics in Game 1, Kristaps Porziņģis appeared to change things during Boston's Game 2 win Sunday over the Dallas Mavericks in the NBA Finals.
Porziņģis recently left the side for the bag space and moved cautiously throughout his day on the court in the next half of his 12- point, four- rebound effort. After the game, he acknowledged that something was amiss and that he would assuredly have his image taken on Monday.
He would n't say exactly what was ailing him when asked about it postgame.
Porzingis claimed that the injury was n't related to his previous soleus strain but would n't reveal specifically what it was. Simply stated that he felt things and was only briefly affected. added that he would have died while he was away and would have done anything to prepare for G3. photograph. twitter.com/eFbH4gbdcB

" Certainly things happened, a little bit", Porziņģis said. " Have a couple of days afterwards. We'll would everything we can to keep moving well, I assure you.
When asked how challenging playing with the wound was, he declared without any doubt that he would participate in Game 3 of Dallas on Wednesday.
" No hard at all", Porziņģis continued. " I'll die out that if we need".
Porziņģis, 28, is playing in his first NBA Finals in his ninth NBA season. The Celtics then have a 2- 0 set lead over the Mavericks, whom Porziņģis played with for a period- plus before being traded to the Washington Wizards halfway through the 2021- 22 season.
Playing a significant role on a championship team do, in Porziis ' opinion, help to modify a disparate NBA reputation. Porziis joined the New York Knicks in 2015, outperforming all expectations for him as a first-of-his-kind promise. He's produced statistically ( 19.7 ppg, 7.2 rpg, 1.9 bpg, 37.5 % 3- point shooting ) and made an All- Star team, but has n't developed into a superstar or contributed to any meaningful winning. He appears willing to remove that last scar from his resume, giving himself the opportunity to do so.
Porziis ' career has been plagued by wounds, and he suffered a leg injury in the first round against the Miami Heat, which caused him to miss 10 games this postseason. He returned for Game 1 against the Mavericks and produced 20 items, six touchdowns, three stones and two 3- ideas in 21 days off the couch. He's determined to play out the series.
That's not how injuries work, of course. The actual availability of him for Wednesday and beyond will be revealed by imagination. But he seems confident in his status. As does Celtics head coach Joe Mazzulla, who has "zero concern" about Porziņģis ' status moving forward.
" He's good", Mazulla said postgame.
