Giannis Antetokounmpo, a forward for the Milwaukee Bucks, and Jayson Tatum, a forward for the Boston Celtics, were the three MVP finalists who were named to the All-Star second team.
New York Knicks guard Jalen Brunson, Los Angeles Lakers core Anthony Davis, Minnesota Timberwolves guard Anthony Edwards, Los Angeles Clippers ahead Kawhi Leonard and Phoenix Suns forward Kevin Durant were named to the next team.
Phoenix Suns guard Devin Booker, Golden State Warriors watch Stephen Curry, Indiana Pacers watch Tyrese Haliburton, Lakers ahead LeBron James and Sacramento Kings ahead Domantas Sabonis were named to the next team.

Jokić and Gilgeous- Alexander were majority initial- team decisions with 99 out of a conceivable 99 seats. Doni won with 98 first-place votes and one second-place ballot, falling one vote short of uniformity. Antetokounmpo received 88 primary- place seats. Tatum tallied 65.

Jaylen Brown received the highest voting tally ( 50 ) without earning a selection, followed by Paul George ( 16 ), Tyrese Maxey ( 16 ), Rudy Gobert ( 12 ), Victor Wembanyama ( 11 ) and Zion Williamson ( 11 ).

With his 20th All- NBA choice, James becomes the oldest All- NBA player in group story at 39 years older. At age 20, he was also the youngest All-NBA pick when he made the second team and the only person to have made 20 All-NBA picks in league history.

All- NBA choice means attractive extensions
The All-All-Star choice provide players with the promise of lucrative contracts thanks to incentives included in the collective bargaining agreement of the league. Due to the first-team selections, Doni and Gilgeous-Alexander are now ready to signal supermax extensions in the 2025 offseason.
Per ESPN's Bobby Marks, that means Dončić is eligible to sign for five years and$ 346.4 million ($ 69.3 million per season ), which would be the richest contract in NBA history. Gilgeous- Alexander is eligible to sign for four years and$ 294.3 million ($ 73.6 million per season ).
Edwards and Haliburton can then agree to beneficial contract additions that would earn them an additional$ 41 million over the course of their terms. Prior to the start of the following season, they were eligible to sign five-year extensions worth$ 204. 5 million ($ 40. 9 million AAV ). Those contracts would now be valued at$ 245.4 million ($ 49.1 million AAV ) over the life of the extensions.
