TNT and Charles Barkley did both come to an end in the upcoming season.
Longtime TNT journalist Charles Barkley dropped a beautiful statement after Game 4 of the NBA Finals on Friday, revealing that he plans to retire from tv after the 2024- 25 NBA time.
Barkley stated that he has discussed leaving TNT for different networks because Warner Bros. prevented him from making the announcement with little notice and plenty of emotion. Discovery eventually decided he was ready to give up the speaker after one last year, despite the likelihood of losing NBA right after the following year.
Barkley's argument:
" There's been a lot of noise around our community the last few decades. I just want to say, I talked to all the other networks, but I ai n't going nowhere other than TNT. But I have made the decision myself, no matter what happens, next month is going to be my last year on tv.
I just want to say thanks to the NBA home. I'm grateful and happy for you folks, but I'll have to give them the go-ahead at the end of the time. I hope TNT continues to be NBA... I'm not going to another channel, but I'm going to pass the stick to Blake Crawford or Vince Carter or you Steve]Smith], but next time, I'm only going to retire after 25 times."
The following day, TNT responded, stating that it was still intending to talk about the future with Barkley.
Charles is a radio and hall of fame who will always be cherished by TNT Sports.

It's definitely worth noting that Barkley has attempted retirement several times in the past few years, but situation are significantly different this time around.

Barkley said he wants to pass the baton, but there's no way a person can replicate what he does on television. There may be someone out there who can draw in the amount of viewers Barkley attracted in some other way, but there is only one Charles Barkley.
On the plus side, he might have more time to work on his golf game soon.
