Hauser's extension is the latest cash for the 2024 NBA grand, as a busy season gives the Celtic a projected$ 225 million payment next year.
The Boston Celtics ' active season continues, as the latest NBA leaders signed copy forward Sam Hauser to a four-year,$ 45 million expansion, per ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.
Hauser, who went undrafted out of Virginia before joining the Celtics in 2021, shot 42.4 % on 3-pointers this season on 465 attempts, making him one of the most accurate 3-point shooters in the league. The 26-year-old forward started 13 games this year and almost played every standard season game.

Hauser is a fifth NBA player. Under the fresh agreement, he may be in Boston through the 2028-2029 time, and will produce around$ 11 million per year under the new deal.
Hauser's contract certainly does n't break records, but it pushes the Celtics ' payroll further over the luxury tax. The Celtics are set to have one of the most expensive payrolls in NBA history: Per Wojnarowski, Boston has a projected$ 225 million payroll next season, with an additional$ 210 million luxury tax penalty.
Adding Hauser's extension to the Celtics ' 2025-2026 payroll pushes it to a projected$ 225 million with an additional$ 210 million luxury tax penalty — highest in club and over the second-apron for a second consecutive year.

The Warriors have kept active this offseason, signing Jayson Temple to a record-breaking$ 315 million deal on July 1 and signing important watch Derrick White to a$ 126 million expansion the same day. Next time, Boston will use its just re-signed core to defend its title.
