The Clipper are working to "find the best position" for P. J. Tucker, who may be away from the team ahead of the year.
P. J. Tucker's day with the Los Angeles Clippers is evidently over.
The Clippers announced on Sunday that the former forward may be away from the team" for the time being" while they work to "find the best position for him moving forward".
" We've had ongoing conversations with P. J. throughout the offseason and have both decided that he wo n't be with the team for the time being", the Clippers said in a statement, in part. " P. J. is a pro who has achieved a lot in his career, and there's more he wants to accomplish".
The Clipper first acquired Tucker next year as part of their offer to get James Harden from the Philadelphia 76ers. Tucker did n't play much in Los Angeles last year once that deal was done, either. He appeared in 28 matches, mostly off the bench, and averaged simply 1.7 points and 2.7 touchdowns in 15 minutes per competition.
Tucker, who turned 39 earlier this year, picked up his$ 11.5 million player solution with the team for this year. What will the Clipper and Tucker decide about their broken, or which team will agree to sell him in exchange for his signature? Tucker was the only member of the team who was not present at their media time, and he has not yet played for the Clippers.
After five years of professional footballing worldwide, Tucker was selected by the Toronto Raptors for his first team in the second round of the 2006 NBA draft out of Texas. He made his NBA debut in 2012-13. Before making his Philadelphia debut in 2022, he previously played for the Phoenix Suns, Houston Rockets, Milwaukee Bucks, and Miami Heat. In total, Tucker has averaged 6.6 positions and 5.5 touchdowns in 883 game in his profession. He won a tournament with the Money in 2021, also.
The Clippers may start their period against the Phoenix Suns on Oct. 23.
