Edwards does not know what might have caused this action, but comments from Minnesota assistant coach Corliss Williamson appear to have sparked his violent behavior right away.
" Corliss, my coach, told me I've been playing' smooth' for 11, 12 game", Edwards told investigators. " But I told him yesterday, I was going to dunk on one of their ass. But when I did it, I looked right at him".

" That felt good", Edwards said after watching a picture of the layup.
Edwards finished with 36 items, shooting 6-for-14 from 3-point variety. He leads the NBA in 3-pointers made with 64.
But, that performance was overshadowed by De'Aaron Fox bursting for 60 details, a Kings company history. With Malik Monk and DeMar DeRozan both ill, Sacramento needed Fox to lead the team.
In order to win the NBA Cup in-season competition and place Minnesota first, Edwards scored the Timberwolves ' last six points in legislation and added seven more in time. Minnesota broke a three-game losing run and improved to 7–6 nevertheless.
Edwards is not the NBA's initial significant good. Last year, he was docked$ 40, 000 for attacking leaders, saying the Timberwolves were "playing 8-on-5" in a gain over the Oklahoma City Thunder.
