Al Michaels seems to enjoy playing on" Thursday Night Football."
We still do n't know quite how Amazon's streaming of NBA games on Prime Video is going to look, but we do know Al Michaels is n't going to be involved.
The famous presenter questioned the possibility of an NBA broadcasting resumption in an appointment with the Los Angeles Times. Michael now serves as the words for the NFL's" Thursday Night Football" protection for the organization.
Michaels believes that Amazon does develop a team that it can use for a number of years more than his 79-year-old home, whose contract expires at the end of the upcoming NFL season.
From the Times:
" I do n't think so. It's a long-term point for Amazon, and they should place a class together that can do this for a lot of times and develop. I'm certain that's what they're going to accomplish. I enjoy watching the NBA again but that was a long time ago, so I'm excited to do it again next year and after."
Michael also mentioned that two NBA users told him that the work of the" Thursday Night Football" team made it easier for them to sell their rights to Amazon. Additionally, he endorsed Greg Kinnear's casting in the coming John Madden film on Amazon.
Some broadcasters have as much knowledge as Michaels, who has a history of hosting prime-time NFL games, managing World Series events, and producing one of the most famous hockey calls of all time. Some people consider him a story for his function it, despite the fact that he also worked for ABC for NBA games from 2003 to 2005.
Similar to the controversies surrounding Amazon's original TNF team, the topic does raise questions about the path Amazon chooses to go once its NBA deal is in place. In that situation, the business large spent a lot to get Michael Michaels from NBC, and then hired college basketball analyst Kirk Herbstreit to make a sideline jump to the pros.
It seems probable that they will want to make a splash given that Amazon apparently spent$ 1.8 billion on an 11-year NBA deal.
