A late-night trip to the south coast did give Chelsea a dud.
This weekend's Premier League game has changed significantly from the regular routine.
AFC Bournemouth may face Chelsea on Saturday in a televised match that Sky Sports did broadcast live to UK viewers. Before being chosen for life transmission, the match was originally scheduled for 3 p.m.
But rather than the regular slot of 5.30pm, the Blues trip to the Vitality Stadium did kick-off at 8pm on Saturday evening.
Why Bournemouth v Chelsea is kicking-off at 8pm?
When Sky Sports selected the activity for live protection, the initial kick-off needed rescheduling.
This is due to UK 3pm blackout law, which means no sport matches can get televised from 14: 25 to 17: 25 on a regular Saturday during the year.
Sky Sporting do, this year, generally have the 5.30pm gambling to broadcast activities, with TNT Sports taking the Saturday noon window. But, they are now showing Aston Villa's fight with Everton at that time.
In consequence, the match between Bournemouth and Chelsea may begin at 8 p.m. with a kick-off time of 8 p.m., allowing Sky Sports to transmit both games.
Additionally, throughout the winter, Sky will be showing activities on Friday Night Football. However, because it was a foreign windows, that was not an option for this particular situation.
