The Paris Olympics start on July 26, but why wo n't France's most iconic player be representing his nation?
France's battle in Germany may go down as a sorrow despite reaching the final four of Euro 2024.

Why wo n't Kylian Mbappe play at the Olympics?
There are a few reasons why France's most well-known player wo n't play at the Olympics this summer, but it's not something that many players will get to experience.
The Olympics competition is an under-23s competitors, although the regulations allow coaches to find three over-age gamers. France star Thierry Henry will be managing his land in this season's Games and has chosen Crystal Palace's Jean-Philippe Mateta, Sevilla's Loic Bade and Lyon scorer Alexandre Lacazette, who did captain the team, as his overdraft options.
While Henry had no doubt like to have selected 25-year-old Mbappe as one of his three over-age people, he has been prevented from doing so by Mbappe's fresh team, Real Madrid.
With the Olympics falling under the jurisdiction of the International Olympic Committee ( IOC), clubs do not have to release their players, meaning the decision on Mbappe's involvement rests with the Spanish side.
" For the Olympics my team has a place which is very evident so that means I think I did not join in the Olympics. That is how it is", Mbappe said next quarter.
The Olympic last is due to be played in August 9, with Madrid's UEFA Super Cup fight against Atalanta taking place on August 14. And with Mbappe's engagement at Euro 2024 seeing him experience a broken head, it is little surprise that Madrid would want to let their new player to take a break before the 2024/25 plan.
" Joining a new team in September would not be the best way to begin my adventure", Mbappe added. The France team has the best of luck. I'll of course watch all of their activities as spectators rather than actors, and I'm hoping they win the gold medal.
