Arsenal wo n't be in their traditional red colours when facing their biggest rivals on Sunday
Arsenal wo n't be able to wear their home kit for Sunday's derby at Tottenham.
In one of the biggest Premier League matches, North London's dark team and the white team square off against one another, both teams typically sporting their classic colors regardless of which team is playing at home.
But that wo n't the case this time around with Mikel Arteta's side having to wear their black away strip for the trip to Seven Sisters. It may mean a different look to one of the team's most memorable accessories.
Why do Arsenal have to use dark against Tottenham?
Following a ruling from the Premier League's refereeing body ( PGMOL), the Gunners were instructed to wear black. They have determined that Arsenal's house shirt is" to light" and clashes with Spurs ' home package.
The guests officially made an offer to change to red clothes for this activity, which has frequently been the case in the past, but it was turned down.
Otherwise, Arsenal may switch to the all-black outfit that they wore against Aston Villa on the previous weekend.
Tottenham will have to use their other colors for the change fixture in January 2025 as a result of the PGMOL's decision.
