16 men's team and 12 women's teams will face off in France to determine the silver, gold and bronze finalists
With gold medals up for grabs for both the people's and children's clubs, the Olympic Games will add more sport to our summer routines.
Great Britain wo n't play football at the Olympics this summer because they did not join the men's side for qualifying, but the women, who were represented by the Lionesses, did just about lose to the Netherlands on goal difference.
For the people, the team involved are restructured to qualified under-23s people with a maximum of three over-age people. There is no such limitation for the women's event.
2024 Olympics people's basketball tournament format
The men's game consists of 16 groups, who will play in the ancient Euros structure: four groups of four, with the best two edges in each team moving to the quarter-finals. It's a immediately knockout from there to the last.
The men's organizations are as follows:
France, Guinea, New Zealand, USA: Argentina, Iraq, Morocco, Ukraine Dominican Republic, Egypt, Spain, Uzbekistan Israel, Japan, Mali, Paraguay
The tiebreak conditions, in purchase, are: items, goal difference, goals scored, then repeat on head-to-head history, next administrative items, then drawing lots.
The quarter-final draw is as follows:

In the semi-finals, the winners of the first two games will square off against one another, just like they will against the first-place winners of the last two games.
The group stage will open on Wednesday, July 24 with the scheduled Friday, August 9th, as the finale. The day before the final, the two losing semi-finalists will compete for the bronze medal in a match that will be held as the Olympics.
2024 Olympics women's football tournament format
For the women's tournament, only 12 teams will compete, with three groups of four. The two best third-placed teams will join the top two teams in reaching the quarter-finals. Effectively it's like the men's Euro 2024, but cut in half.
The women's groups are as follows:
France, Canada, Colombia, New Zealand Australia, Germany, USA, Zambia Brazil, Japan, Nigeria, Spain
The same tiebreak criteria apply here as in the men's tournament.
The quarter-final draw is as follows:
Winner Group A vs 3rd Group B/CWinner Group C vs 3rd Group A/BWinner Group B vs Runner-up Group CRunner-up Group A vs Runner-up Group B.
In the semi-finals, the winners of the first two games will square off against one another, just like they will against the first-place winners of the last two games.
The group stage will open on Thursday, July 25th, and the final will be on Saturday, August 10th. The day before the final, a bronze medal match between the two semi-finalists who lost will be held once more.
