Wales competed against Turkey to start their outstanding Nations League campaign.
In their Countries League opening at Cardiff City Stadium, Wales made a positive start to life under Craig Bellamy, drawing 0-0 with Turkey. The guests had plenty of advantages, dominating hands and creating better chances against a team that reached Euro 2024's quarter-finals.
Because Sorba Thomas had to stay offside when skilfully robbed the goalkeeper, a goal was decided against. And by the end there was a sense of disappointment that Wales had failed to win after playing so well at home.
However, it is not to be taken lightly that a point against the favorites to win Group B4 is not made, especially given how excellent the performance was overall compared to Rob Page's last two matches.

Wales ' class appears to be reasonable, with Montenegro scheduled to travel this week and visiting Iceland in the following month. If Bellamy's part may advance and continue to play stylish, powerful football, dreams of big tournaments will start again.
However, after the draw with Turkey, the new manager did n't get carried away. "]The people were ] excellent. We've had a lot of job this year. There have been a lot of discussions and I am always mindful of a load of information going into the people in a short space of time", said Bellamy.
" But they were excellent this week and that gives you confidence. This is the worst we will ever be, I assure you. The more we learn, the more we spend up, the finer details.
" It's like a good start, but there's means more to occur from this team.
" I am hardly a master at this after one match, believe me. But it was enjoyable. I'm really happy that you played against it in your initial game.
