This summer, Liverpool are looking to strengthen their rear range, and reports suggest Arne Slot is interested in a Bundesliga commander.
As Arne Slot tries to rejuvenate the side's back-line, Liverpool are apparently considering moving for German international center-back Waldemar Anton.
The 27-year-old Anton captained Stuttgart last year, and he has impressed in the Bundesliga, attracting the attention of Germany's director Julian Nagelsmann as well as England. Anton, who started on the couch for Germany's 5-1 defeat of Scotland on the opening day of Euro 2024, was given his first top global call-up in March, where he has since earned two hats.
However, according to Bild, the Reds are closely monitoring Anton's progress despite reports that Liverpool fans did n't see him in action on Friday night. According to the release, Slot's staff has expressed interest in the keeper and is aware of his current contract's release section.
A somewhat unimpressive offer of$ 19 million is thought to be sufficient to force Anton to sign his release clause and begin speaking with potential suitors. However, the Red have a find.
Borussia Dortmund and Bayer Leverkusen are apparently engaged in the keeper, who has already been enchanted by his features in Germany, as do the Premier League team.
Rising through the junior ranks at Hannover 96, Anton transferred to Stuttgart in 2020 and has since made 141 images, surpassing the 137 he made for his former team.
Germany manager Sebastian Hoenes spoke up his person last year, saying:" Waldi flys a little under the radar. He plays very constantly, is an amazing stabilising aspect, and makes very some mistakes. That's a very important feature for a keeper. Waldi has delivered shows that merit a seem [for the national team ] both on and off the field.
" I do n't mean to demand anything. There are numerous different talented men. However, Waldi had a fantastic year. Waldi excels in some places. He brings the entire deal. He is a true head in both education and competitions. He fulfills that part truly. "
