The task of the players this year has been decided by Chelsea.
Chelsea have snubbed four first-team stars from their UEFA Conference League club– including arguably their best player.
Following a sixth-place end in the Premier League last year, the Blues were eligible for the opposition. Enzo Maresca's area are due to play Gent, Panathinaikos, FC Noah, Heidenheim, Astana and Shamrock Rovers in their group-stage conflicts this year.
Chelsea have started the new plan with a largely indifferent approach from the past Leicester City manager, winning one, drawing one, and losing one. However, a decision has been made regarding various high-earners at the pub given the club's busy schedule.
As confirmed by the Blue on Thursday, Cole Palmer, Ben Chilwell, Wesley Fofana and Romeo Lavia have all been left out of Chelsea club for the opposition. On February 6th, the club is re-register the four players so that they can be sent back for the knock rounds.
The reason given for their omissions is over to load, with' weight control ' a key beneficator in the team's decision making. Chelsea travel to Greece on October 24 to face Panathinaikos, before starting their Western campaign at home in Gent on October 3.
Since being eligible to compete in the new-look FIFA Club World Cup, Chelsea was play around 80 games in five games this year. Set to take place from June 15 – July 13, Maresca's people may get hoping to raise silverware after failing to do so under Mauricio Pochettino last year.
