Manchester City hit the headlines over the global split following the release of the special edition third set for the 2024/25 time in partnership with Oasis.

The team have had a great connection with the world-famous group over the years thanks to the open support of frontmen Noel and Liam Gallagher, who take every chance to publicly display their over for the orange half of Manchester.

The couple have featured frequently throughout every club's defining moment over the past 25 years, from Wembley's development to the first division to Istanbul's champions league title.

Oasis, a partnership between Manchester City and Oasis, has been a smash hit.

It only seemed natural, therefore, that the team and the group collaborated to indicate 30 years since the launch of the band's song, Definitely Sometimes, complete with spring eggs in the photo shoot.

A club statement read:" Marking the 30th anniversary of Oasis ' iconic album Definitely Maybe, the special-edition kit draws inspiration from the album cover that defined a generation.

The" Definitely City kit" is only available for select European games, capturing the spirit of a club ready to rock on the biggest stages in Europe. The design features a bold aesthetic that echoes the iconic imagery of Definitely Maybe, paying tribute to the band and the city of Manchester."

The band's reunion after 15 years with a comeback tour, which sparked widespread hysteria among fans, increased the impact of the release. The shirt sold the club's highest day-one sales for a kit ever, and this excitement appears to have been surprisingly well reflected in shirt sales.

Furthermore, launch day saw the highest day of sales revenue ever, only topped by the launch of the commemorative treble-winning shirt in 2023. The navy bomber jacket worn by Pep in the promotional images and videos accounted for a staggering 71 % of the total revenue, with shirt sales accounting for the second-most popular item.

The Cityzens will likely show off the new shirt on Champions League matchday two when they travel to Slovakia to face Slovan Bratislava, who handily wear a light blue home shirt.
